About — My History
Saima Khan is a self-taught professional artist, born in Pakistan and raised in Chicago. She became interested in graphic designing, marketing, and theater plays in high school. Saima has graduated in college with multiple degrees in business, psychology and, medical diagnostic Radiologist.
However, her love of art emerged spiritually, leading to her venturing on to Islamic art and calligraphy. Saima loves Abstract painting. It gives her a way to express hetself, her joys, her dreams, and sometimes her sorrows. She believes Art is a way of expression, and she strive to portray a different emotion with every piece she create. Saima’s fan base is a wonderful mixture of all kinds of people from all over the world. For her Muslim supporters who are familiar with the beautiful history and different styles of Arabic calligraphy, she strive to capture the important lessons and messages of the Quran.
SK Modern Art Gallery: A Journey to Success
Saima also had a successful solo exhibitions in Houston downtown, Chicago navypier, and had her paintings displayed in larges skyscraper building of Houston downtown, Dubai hotels, many restaurants, London office, mosque, over hundreds home’s, office, commercial spaces, and around the globe. She is actively involved in many fundraising programs for charity events for Auctioning her paintings.
Saima has now established her roots in Houston where she lives with her beautiful, loving and supportive family. She is running multiple business in Houston area. She is well known for best award winning custom designed artist, who now is the owner of an SK Modern Art Gallery.
Fusing Tradition and Modernity
For my supporters who belong to different religions, I incorporate something that represents their individual values. I take pride in blending traditional themes with my modern style of art creating a truly unique and unforgettable piece for every single one of my clients to a better life. All too often when we are stressed out, we don’t listen to our soul. Art is a way to connect with your inner self. Art will set your spirit free. You will be surprised to see the result.Although I only have been actively creating custom art for the past several years, it has always spoken to the core of my being. I did feel its language and had a natural ability of translating colors into feelings. This connection between my art and my emotions has gotten stronger as I have become more involved in painting.
Art as a Means of Expression and Healing
Whenever I see an empty space, a blank wall, or a lonely person I can sense emotion, attention, or rejection. I was rejected and labeled a failure. When I encountered major challenges in life I expressed my silent screams with abstract paintings and gave my emotions colors. I am so thankful that I am now able to share my passion and use my talents to enrich others’ lives.
Saima has non-stop ideas and a creative mind. She had sold over thousands of paintings all around the world. The largest custom painting she made is up to 20 feet tall. Now her artwork has expanded, and she is making digital graphic arts.
